Youth Festival Update
Preparations are gearing up for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival being held in Adelaide December 3-5.
The ACYF program sub-committee is in the midst of engaging and scheduling presenters and performers for the three days of the festival. This diverse and inspiring group is taking shape and setting the tone for an amazing these days of Festival experiences. In addition to international presenters Jason Evert and Steve Angrisano, the following confirmed to date are:
Sr Hilda Scott OSB, from the Benedictine Abbey in Jamberoo, NSW, a favourite with Festival participants in Melbourne will be returning to share her wisdom.
Fr Rob Galea, a priest of the Diocese of Sandhurst, will again be sharing his musical gifts and passion for sharing God's love with young people.
Genevieve Bryant, a talented singer song writer from Melbourne. Genevieve is bringing to Adelaide her special brand of energy and enthusiasm for music ministry, which she has shared with young people across the country.
Gary Pinto, Aria Award winning and multi platinum recording artist and X Factor vocal coach. Gary fronted the multi platinum selling band, CDB, widely regarded as pioneers of R&B music in Australia. He has composed songs for and performed with, some of the music industry's greatest.
Natasha, international recording artist, singer, songwriter and performer. The Perth born singer, who has toured with Boyz II Men and Pink, to name a few.
Fr Rob, Gary Pinto and Natasha have written a beautiful sung version of The Divine Mercy Chaplet, which we are looking to feature of the Festival.
Fr Morgan Batt, priest of the Brisbane Archdiocese, Vocations Director and mountaineer. Fr Morgan is looking forward to ascending the dizzying heights of the Festival.
